Carlotta Lincoln came to Half Moon Bay in 2014, after many years in Santa Barbara. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she studied art – later living and painting in France, England, Greece, Morocco, and Spain. She traveled in Asia, and was inspired by shrines and temples there.

In California, she has been influenced by the French artist and teacher Michele Cassou; by the "Vision Painting" workshops at Esalen Institute; and by an informal group of creative women who painted with wild abandon in a studio in the mountains above Santa Barbara.

Carlotta’s mandalas, shrines and mixed media pieces have been exhibited in Copenhagen, Palma de Mallorca, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and Half Moon Bay.
